It doesn't feel like Christmas.
I haven't really stopped since uni ended so it feels like November still. I've been in Bathurst a sum total of 10 nights since then, and no more than 5 in a row. Needless to say, my mum isn't particularly happy... especially when I told her I was heading back to Wagga for New Years. Heh heh...
But I have gotten a few Christmas presents early. First off, that giant purple box from
Murf that's been sitting under my parents Christmas tree for the past couple of weeks finally got to be opened. It's a purple violin, my friends... a purple violin with a purple bow and a purple case that's lined with purple. So fucking awesome. I'm gonna be the coolest violinerer there ever was, just you wait. That and a record player and "In A Safe Place" by The Album Leaf on vinyl from
Mr. Nick. Sah-weet.
This past weekend I've been gallivanting across the central coast taking photos of more bands. I had a really good time with blackouts and impromptu drum corps and haunted hotels and seeing way too much of some peoples anatomy (
"men are great!" ) and breakfast / drunken snack / hangover pies and lawn bowls commentating and viking restaurants and dencor rub and best of all that awesome feeling right after you've been sitting on stage taking what at the time you think are freaking awesome shots right up the singers nose and just before you look at them on a computer and realise 90% of them are crap. It's so worth the partial hearing loss I'm still experiencing. Makes me realise how much I love taking photos. I took a shiteload and saw Leicohtica (twice), Nevetherym (one and a half times...ish... lol), Sobrusion (twice), Herratik, Live Wire and Phobiac all across two nights in Wyong and Sydney. I'll get 'round to putting some up maybe before I head back to Wagga.
In the mean time... hope Christmas is cool for you... if I don't appear 'round here for awhile, you now know where I'll be.
Then there's next year, omg. Seeing Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Gyroscope. Officially boycotting the Parkway Drive concert, possibly for something even bettererer...we shall see
Now, I'm off to get some
real sleep before I pass out!

sounds like you've been busy li bee, huh? been seeing your shots, very cool. i hope with the 90% bad ones your getting some pearlers. i like the ones i've seen so far, but i'm pretty behind, since i'm in benora point at my aunts, and the internet is the slowest ever. i havent really been looking at devs, takes too damn long to load.
